BRAD FIELDER, TECHNICAL DIRECTOR
Brad has almost 30 years of experience playing and 20 years coaching the game of soccer. He began his soccer career playing for the Roanoke Star Soccer Club in Virginia and in the Virginia Olympic Development Program (ODP). During his high school career, Brad had the opportunity to travel abroad playing in Germany and Denmark.
Playing for La Roche College in Pittsburgh, he was selected to play at the semi-professional level as a goalkeeper. In 2000, Brad began his coaching career with his club team, The Roanoke Stars. Brad also has experience as the head and assistant coach for multiple clubs at the middle school and high school level. In 2019, he served as the Director of Olympic Development Program (ODP) for the state of DE. Brad coached for 5 seasons as the Assistant Men’s Coach and Goalkeeper Trainer at Wesley College in Dover, DE and has been coaching with the Delaware Union and Delaware Revolution for the last 6years in Middletown, DE.
In his 2nd year with Wesley, the team went 16-5-1 making the Wolverines men's team the most improved team in NCAA Division III men's soccer in 2018. Wesley recorded an 11.5-game turnaround from the 2017 season to the 2018 season, which tied the 1999 University of Puget Sound Loggers for the largest single-season improvement in NCAA Division III history. That same year Wesley recorded the best goals against average in the school’s history (1.17 GAA).
Brad specializes in goalkeeper training, holding his goalkeepers' training level 1 and level 2 diplomas through United Soccer Coaches. Brad also owns his own goalkeeper school, Diamond State Goalkeeper Academy, focusing on age appropriate goalkeeping drills. Brad holds a USSF National D License and a United Soccer Coaches Level 1 Futsal Certification.
